Hands-on sessions under a qualified assessor include:

CPR and AED use on mannequins
Bandaging, splinting, and wound care demonstrations
Simulated emergency scenarios for effective decision-making
Inspecting and replenishing first aid kits
3. Assessment & Certification
Learners are evaluated through:

Practical demonstrations of first aid skills
Written assessments on theory and legal obligations
Scenario-based exercises simulating workplace emergencies
Successful learners receive a Violet Horizon Accredited First Aid Certificate, valid for 2 years, demonstrating compliance with OHS Act, SETA, and South African first aid standards.
